About the Character
Sinister Strange emerges as a secondary adversary in the 2022 installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe film "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness." This portrayal represents an alternative version of the Earth-199999's Doctor Strange, who grapples with an inability to endure life devoid of his beloved Christine Palmer. Following the tragic loss of Christine in his reality, he resorts to wielding the Darkhold, a mystical tome, to journey through diverse dimensions. In doing so, he overtakes counterparts of himself, who similarly endure the agony of solitude without their respective Christines, driving them towards tragic ends. Regrettably, the employment of the Darkhold progressively corrupts him, resulting in the cataclysmic disarray of his own world. A fateful encounter transpires between him and his heroic counterpart, triggered by the Scarlet Witch's actions, leading to Strange's banishment into Sinister Strange's universe, replete with impending threats.
